If you have a long enough extension you may be able to loosen without taking the fairing off...but dont be scared to remove the bodywork. Youll see theres nothing to it, and really no way you can mess it up. Just take your time and keep all your pieces in order.
these are some Cortech throw-over saddlebags that came with a bandit i bought a few years back. theyre awesome. you could probably find some used one very reasonable on ebay. easy on, easy off, lots of storage and waterproof.
I clutched it up for the first time last week. I was surprised..didnt expect it to come up so easy. A lot softer landing than my gsxr 750...much different feel in the forks
I orered some sliders yesterday too. These look fine because it says no fairing cutting required. These or for 2012 and earlier. I had to get a different style with mounting brackets for my 2015 because i didnt want to cut a hole in the bodywork. I did see these same ines and considered them
I spent a lot of time deciding on a new windscreen because the stock windscreen put the wind right at my chin bar and hit my shoulders so my jacket flattened out like a sail. Most people seem to go with the puig windscreen but I haven't seen any write ups on the zero gravity screen. This one...

I didn't like the forward/downward slant of the seat...flattens out my coin purse against the tank... i glued 2 1/2 inch rubber spacers (that i had lying around) to the underside of the seat (closest to the tank). There are 2 circular shapes on the underside of the seat...perfect location...
You dont need to spend $100 on the motech up and back risers...ive seen these risers on this forum before and these are $60 with shipping...1" up and 1.25 back, not cable replacement required. Excellent improvement in seating position
Ive spent $8+ for rim stripes on at least 6 of my last 10 bikes...this time i did it myself. My wife has some vinyl cutters, so i measured the wheels and made my own 1/4" stripes. Just happened to have the perfect match in red vinyl.little detail makes a big difference in the look
ive read every windscreen review i could find, and everyone seems to be comparing the zg DB versus the puig touring... but what about the zg touring?
I called revzilla, and they said:
1) the zg touring does not come in dark smoke
2) it's 3.25" taller than stock
3) it's about $40 less...
For those of you who have the touring windscreen - i am 5'6" and i want more wind protection for the winter, but i dont want to be looking through the windsceen when i ride...i cant tell from the pics online. ..is the touring windscreen so tall that shorter riders might end up looking through it...
Hi guys im new here and didnt find any info on the search attempts.
I just bought my 2015 fz6r yesterday and id like to replace the handlebar for one with more pullback because i have short arms. Are there any you have discovered that will decrease the reach without requiring a new brake line...
