I had both, the FZ1 bar and (now) the clip on's. (sorry to go against you Chucker)
Im 100% sure the clip on's are lower, however getting to this position involves lowering the bike at the front forks to avoid touching fairings etc. which isn't a requirement for FZ1 bars, hence clip ons being...
so i put some spacers in. definitely did the trick, not bottoming out, a little bit stiffer.
will hopefully swap the oil out this week or next. 40 degree (c) too hot to do anything.
should i look for 10w or 15w??
I did, however am looking at $200 + shipping just for the emulators. its an option, but I don't dislike standard that much, just after a very small amount of firmness.
Thanks for the reply guys! Yeh I meant do the oil change as well probably needs it anyway.
@shards - I had actually ordered those but the thread pitch they sent wasn't correct. Hence the thought of just putting spacers in.
Might give them a go and see what happens. I'll check in later
Hi all,
may be a stupid question here; ive tried looking it up and could find any information on doing specifically this.
lets say, I was to spin up some maybe 8mm spacers on a lathe, take the fork caps off, insert the spacer over the inner tube above the spring, and put the cap back on...
the only fairings I have trouble putting back on are the smaller black ones under the handle bars.. things have made me throw little sissy tantrums regularly.
Howdy!
I have just received in the mail a custom Matte Black and complete fairing kit from AUFairing.com.
In a turn of events, and the money needed elsewhere, I have made the difficult decision of selling the kit as a whole (read: will not separate) for the next person to fit to their...
I've had the Q3's on for a couple of months now, compared to stock Bt021's these are much better, as everyone is saying.
but a question of what pressure are you all running? every other forum says around 32 cold front 34 rear (for street) but these aren't on FZ6R's.
Any one care to share...
yeh i ended up getting plugs for the holes from local hardware.. i had a phone mount on their before but never ended up using it, so ill probably go without for now..
i installed the woodcraft 1.5" rise. and the only negative thing i can say is that its upsetting i didnt do it earlier. i also got the wood craft weighted bar ends while i was there.
It is like a new bike, a lot more confident in the bike now and definitely more enjoyable to ride.
i...
So I installed the FZ1 bar. cant say that ive noticed much of a difference in feel compared to lowering/tilting the standard bars. Definitely looks better.
So am going to pull the pin on some wood crafts. cant find anything cheaper than $310.00AUD for someone that has em in stock.
Revzilla...
Thanks man. so you would say that the clip ons are more aggressive than the FZ1 bar? or much the same. i managed to purchase a bar locally for $30 so will give it a shot nonetheless
Looking at doing either this or the FZ1 bar.
its really hard to judge by pictures of the comparisons as they aren't quite the same angles.
what I would like to know is would these clips ons angle down more so than the Fz1 bar (or equivalent)?
from what I can see is these angle down...
