    FZ6R or managers CBR600RR

My $.02 Honestly, I wouldn't rush into buying even a 6R as a first bike, especially if you need a loan to buy one. To give you a better idea, I can tell my story. Before I took the MSF class I was even doubting if I was going to get a bike (not the best means of transportation in Seattle...

    WTF is wrong with people???

*gone to the garage to check the rear tire. UPD: the tire is fine. Can't even tell which part of the tire hit the fender.

    WTF is wrong with people???

Wow. Giant thanks to everyone, now I feel much better. I did hit a bump (sort of) on my way home. There is a spot where the road dips in, so for example, most cars would scrape the front fender there if they go too fast. I flew through it pretty fast today and yes, I did feel something weird...

    WTF is wrong with people???

I am positive that someone bent it. Someone with a good amount of strength in his hands - I am assuming it was done with bare hands. I am also pretty sure the intention was to get me pulled over for concealing my license plate.

    WTF is wrong with people???

The first day with my new Targa FE on the bike. I love the way it looks, but... When I got home today (as in, 10 minutes ago) I looked at my bike's rear end and was like WTFFF... Basically, someone rolled the license plate in a roll and tucked it behind the FE's plate on which it is...

This makes me want to move to the country...

I've been contemplating this thread for a while now. Every day I commute to school and back, about 4 miles of streets and a mile on the interstate. If the "Seattle, WA" placetag under my name doesn't mean anything to you, I'll explain: it rains here 5 days a week, most of the time not too...

What did you do to your bike today?

Finally ordered a Puig racing screen and a Targa fender eliminator! Also, a SHOEI RF-1100 helmet :-) everything should be here on Friday, so excited!

    Got pulled over...

Hehe I meant 5mph over the limit after the above adjustment, e.g. the speedo is saying 70.

    Got pulled over...

The first day I owned the FZ6R I got pulled over. I went North of Seattle to ride some country roads, left at 6am, was on my way back on I-5-South at 9, still getting used to the bike and enjoying the hell out of the usable power. I was weaving through traffic going 75-85mph on average - in...

    Washington State Bike Ride Recommendations

Hello everyone from the Evergreen State! I know that we have some people here from WA, so I wanted to share my ride experiences so far, and hopefully you will too! My first day trip on a bike was about a month ago now. The first leg of the trip was the Pioneer Highway to Stanwood and...

    Deer are scary

I almost hit the deer on SR-9 between Sedro-Wolley and Arlington on SR-9. There are some nice roads down there near Redmond. I'm attaching a map of a trip I took about a month ago on my old cb550 (now sold). Some of the nicest roads on that trip were between Monroe and Issaquah.

    Deer are scary

This morning I went out on a bike ride, north of Seattle on side roads. 120 miles into the trip (out of about 200), I was going on this straight stretch of SR-9, and was going about 70 I would say. Can't say I wasn't focused, but I didn't expect a deer hopping out of the bushes and onto the...

Also, the buzz from the windshield area was eliminated when I put some felt tape between the plastics that were rattling :)

    Introduction, lots of questions

Updates So, I've been wanting to post an update here, but didn't have too much time lately. So here it goes: -Changed oil and the filter. Conventional Yamalube from the dealer. Definitely buying a oil filter tool before the next change, because this time I had to poke a hole in the filter to...
