Is there a particular compatibility of levers for our bike, say an FZ1 or R6 or off the wall other bike? I don't want eBay/china levers. Thinking about the speed metal foldable / adjustable (which are probably made in china too lol) from Cyclegear (bogo...
Anyone Leakey to La Grange; Georgetown to San Antonio or points nearby?
I know of 2 FZ6R riders (me and HillCountryRider). Who else rides these parts on a regular basis?
Got my cycle gear catalog and page 28 has a nifty looking HID kit that is supposed to be plug and play about as easy as changing the stock H4 bulb with the HID bulb and wiring in (crimp, not cut) an adapter. What really seems to be cool is the price - $54.99 (50% off).
Any thoughts before...
This is almost no effort and it would be much better with more camera angles, but I did have fun slapping this together in iMovie:

An R6 rear ended a Nissan Cube at high speed when the Cube pulled out into the motorcycles path.
We are invisible. Never assume others will yield to you. Assume they will pull out in front of you and slam on their brakes. Remember 2/4/12.
There doesn't have to be an 18 wheeler blocking the view of a driver who can't see you, but in this video, that's exactly what happened. This was by no means a close call, however if I hadn't anticipated that something like this would happen, it could have been or worse.
I continued slowing...

Anyone install a case saver on our bike? It's basically a shield to absorb/deflect the impact of the chain on the engine in the event of chain breakage.
I was out for a ride, which is one of my last for probably a month or possibly more with my back surgery this week.
We all have close-calls on a motorcycle. This one today was one that might have been even worse in a cage (less room to maneuver).
Faced with this situation, how would you...
A few months ago, I fell off a ladder and landed on my back from about 10 feet. I wasn't being careless, the tree pushed me. I was a little sore but didn't feel injured.
Then, while coaching softball, I was bending to field a slow roller, and my back popped so loud people in the stands hurt...
This might be a silly question, but I'm hoping the years of practice from you guys will give me an idea.
This is really for the ATGATT guys. I'm with you. I like my skin where it is, and don't feel the need to decorate the pavement with it. Besides... it's COLD out there!
With that...
On my way to church tonight, this cager:
decides to accelerate from 45 in a 55 where I had been following at a 3 second spacing (because he/she kept riding the brake) to 70+ as I'm passing, with a Ford 350 coming head-on.
I easily passed, and as soon as I was back in my lane, the...

You can see on the next acceleration after the 11:20 minute mark that the tips you guys gave me in this post: http://www.600cc.org/forum/f87/shifting-issues-23956/ have really made a difference.
Cyclegear is running the RF1100 for $225 off at $299.99. In addition, you can use a promo code I found on the web CGHLDZ20 (and it worked for me) making it $279.99. That is a great price on a Shoei!
It is only the RF-1100 Monolith, blue or black.

I'm having some shifting difficulties I did not experience on my first few rides on my new 2012 FZ6R. What seems to be happening is:
1) Starting on steep hill in first gear on my last ride, the bike stalled. No big deal; I know I'm not the first or the last to fail to give enough throttle...
