I would personally just use a scissor style jack. I've seen too many disasters with triple tree stands. Not to mention in my opinion they are pointless because they get in the way of wany front end work you may be doing.
Thanks boys! Sorry I'm not on the forums much anymore I've been grinding in some overtime and saving up my sick time! Of course I'll be sticking with my Yamaha. Bikes are what make my money. I'm Definately looking forward to this adventure.
WEll boys I guess its my turn. My turn to teach my baby boy to ride a bike!!
Due in January and I'm already lookin at dirtbikes for him =)
Happy Motoring boys!
(p.s. I'm not talking about taking my wife on my bike while she is preggo! lol)
leem is right. Most master links have to be "pressed" on with a chain tool. Most chain breaker kits have the adapter plate to press on the master link plates
after you ride it you need to check the voltage on your battery to see if its charging. If its not charging its either your regulaor/rec or your stator. Or leave you bike running and check voltage at the batter. it should read around 13.5
during the coler months I wear a bandana over my face under my helmet to keep my face warm. One day I walked into a gas station and forgot to take it off... Opps my bad =)
i always run k and n oil filters on my bike.. never had a problem. Chances are this guy didnt instal them right (funn i knoy but it can be done) and he could also be wanting some type of free stuff from k and n. you never know
Its ok Danielle it happens to everyone! i was riding with my grandpa nad his friends the other day when he pushed his bike with the kick stand down and down it went. Try the Testors model paint and/or the touch up marker
if you r bike doesnt "creep" while you have the clutch pulled in and you are stopped i wouldnt worry about it. The clutch will always slightly drag enough to make the rear tire spin while its on a stand.
it easier to suck out all the old fluid from the resivor (leaving the lines full of fluid) then pour new fluid in, crack the bleeder valves and pump brake until fresh fluid is seen. Just dont forget to top off your resivor and dont let it get too low and get air bubble in your lines.
