Anyone have any experience on the Honda Interceptor 800? I'm lusting...

All a matter of opinion, I don't feel its a lateral move at all. Haven ridden both I find the VFR to be a much more refined ride than the FZ6R... no comparison IMHO.

Anyone have any experience on the Honda Interceptor 800? I'm lusting...

With only 4k+ miles that bike is still new! Go to VFRD Home and do some reading up. I think the VFR would be a great next bike! Of course I'm a little bias owning one and all...

Anyone carry one of those air Compressors or Bike patch kits?

    shoei or arai?

I think that's the question. I tried both Shoei and Arai, the Arai simply fit me better, so that's what I bought. Both are nice helmets.

    One thing you should know.

To hot into a corner resulted in my one and only crash. Did just what I shouldn't have done, panic brake, stood the bike up, crossed lanes, ended up in the ditch. Lucky for me it was a quite back road. What I learned I should have done was just what you stated, "get off the brakes and lean lean...

    NC Highway 28

Found another clip from this vacation... Deals Gap. Have to apologize for the quality, its kind of hazy account the camera lens fogged over a little. Anyway, hope you enjoy, I know I did! Dragon front fork-mount - YouTube

    Just Moved to Wisconsin

You should check out the roads in Southwestern Wis, kind of around the La Crosse area. Use google map with the terrain feature checked. I've heard it called "alphabet souping", just look for the county road with letters. Haven't been there myself... yet, going next year, but I heard there's some...

    Blue Ridge Parkway Tips

It is tempting to goose it a little on parkway, nice corners for sure! We make an annual trip to NC for riding and the parkway is always in the plan. Rode it end-to-end this year, along with the Skyline Parkway, some 550 miles worth of enjoyment. Enjoy the trip!

    Blue Ridge Parkway Tips

Some of the things I really like about the PRPW are that there are no stop signs on it, none! No trucks, no bill boards, just incredible views no matter which way you look. Scenic rest stops seems like ever mile or so. Speed limit is mostly 45mph, I think you can get away with 5 over, but really...

    Blue Ridge Parkway Tips

If time becomes an issue, ride the bottom half. You'll have to plan gas stops as none is sold on the parkway, stop at one of the infor rest stop and ask. And be sure to look for and take roads that lead to/from the parkway, that's were you'll find some really nice twisty stuff.

    Nail!

Picked up a nail last year, this year a bone fragment. Long ways from home on both occasions, thankfully I had the repair kit with and was back on the road in about 30 minutes.
