    Your problem sounds either spring-related or pushrod adjustment-related. But, I would start the diagnosis at the left side of the engine. Inspect your clutch cable free-play adjustment down at the push lever. If that is good, then you know it isn't free-play affecting your lever pull. Move on to...

    Your factory sprocket configuration is 16/46. You would probably enjoy going up one tooth on your front sprocket, to a 17. It'll tame your highway RPMs and correct for your factory speedo error, too.
