Don't worry about it. I think it was a misunderstanding, and I know what happened. I was intending on going back and cleaning up the thread to remove all of that stuff. It isn't necessary, and really detracts from what is a very good thread.

That design is fairly new, and I am not totally sold on it. May change it back to the way that it was.

I didn't say loose, but if the clutch cable is too tight, it will disengage without having to pull the clutch lever, thus not giving the transmission full power. That is what I would try. Check the owners manual for proper lever free play.

It will cover it. Any reputable dealer will also not give you a hard time about a bike with so few miles having issues.

Check your clutch adjustment, it sounds like it is way too tight. This would be covered under warranty, but should be a quick fix. Find it hard to believe that this would pass a dealer prep.
