Glad shes alright man, get that bike inspected at a shop to see whats wrong with it if any. I remember when I downed my first bike it was hard to take in mentally but you know theres 2 type of riders out there and thats the people that haven't down a bike yet and those that already have.

If you mount them on top then you have to drop the forks a bit I'd say by 1.5"-2". I assume mounting on the bottom would of course keep the stock height without having to drop your forks.:D

I have no brand loyalty for bikes, its more what looks better in my eyes at the time of purchase and price. For my next bike it will have to be a step up from the FZ6R in maybe 3 years and at that time I would probably buy a used R6, Zx6R, Gixxer600 or 750, and CBR600rr for cheap.
