Bicycle wreck has me a lot more cautious on my FZ6R

Remember that on your motorcycle you have better tires that have better grip. Knobby tires on concrete is not gonna work out at high speeds. Build your confidence back up. I had a semi head on collision on a brand new R6 back in 2009....took a 15 mph turn at 25 went over yellow line. Bike...

Question Does anyone know where to get a toe & heel gear shifter for Yamaha 2013 fz6r?

Sport bikes don't really use these. But good luck to you. Maybe you can show us pics when you get it going.

Question 3d printing fork seal driver

Stock weight is very light and even if you're a 120lbs 2.5w is probably too light. I would either go with stock 5w or upgrade to 10w.

Question 3d printing fork seal driver

How did the ride feel at 5w? I switched to 10w and it was a tighter feel on the suspension...I'm 200 lbs so the tighter feel was better for me. Next time I'm going with 15w.

    Front Suspension Adjustment?

As stated above...switch the internals. The cheapest way is to switch the oil. Going to a 10w or 15w oil will make a difference. I would start with some oil just to get a new feel. I had a blown fork seal so i replaced the seals and oil with 10w. Noticeable difference from stock. Next time I...

    Question Exhaust

There is no slip on option for this bike. You have to go full exhaust by buying one or create one using an R6 exhaust (many threads on that topic...search). I went the R6 custom option. I used block off plates, didn't use a power commander or any other controller. I put on a crappy muffler tip...

    Valve Clearance Adjustment

I put about 60K miles on my old Yamaha Vstar 950 (bought it brand new less than 10 miles on it). It never needed a valve clearance adjustment. I currently have 39K miles on my FZ6R and haven't done a valve clearance adjustment and it's running great (bought it with 5K miles). I put a lot of...

    Clicking noise and no start

Sounds like you pretty much tried everything but replacing the starter. Probably not what you wanted to hear though. If I had that issue that would be my next step. I've never replaced a start on a bike but I have on cars. I would imagine that it would pretty easy.

    Need Help Electrical problem

Agreed with above post. The battery may read 12v but it may be old and not have the cranking amps anymore. Take it to an auto parts store and have it tested. You're probably gonna end up needing a new one. As for the second issue...not sure what that could be. Maybe it will fix it self with a...

I bought some shorty black ones. No fade yet.

    Need Help!

I bought some of these about a year or so ago. I love them. I have noticed that they are not as smooth action as when I first installed. I might just need to take them apart and lube the moving parts. I've been lazy about some maintenance. I will say I do ride in the rain and that must have...

    Gas mileage!

I get about 180 ish miles per tank. I get to the reserve and run it another 10-20 miles depending on how close I am to my regular gas station. I fill up with 87 octane and maybe once in a blue moon I use ethanol free 87. I use a some Seafoam in the gas tank at every oil change. I don't really...

    Question Exhaust

I put on an R6 header and then just a muffler tip. It was loud. I lost some power on the low end. The power was there on the top but I mostly use my bike for commuting. I spent 60 bucks on the header and 10 bucks on the tip. I didn't have a fuel controller so that probably was not a good idea...

Just Bought a FZ6R with a 2 Brother pipe and it runs like a pig. HELP !

Don't go to stealership. Go to bike bandit for the plugs and go to walmart for some Shell Rotella T6 and pick up a filter from somewhere (cycle gear or amazon).
