Grats, nice ride... I love the Kawi's in green (as they should be imo :D)!
Curious as to your feelings about moving up 400cc to a 1000...? How's the acceleration compare to the 6R?
Bike looks like it has a nice central mass/ center of gravity.
What is your post-6R ride?
'13 Street Triple R
How is it different than your 6R?
Main difference from the 6R I notice is the 3 cyl engine, and upgraded suspension.
What is similar to your 6R?
It's similar in the sense that you can just hop on and ride the thing without feeling like your...
After some twisties the other day I decided I should start going. My thighs started spazzin.
Been putting it off for a while now...
But my job since recently has been welding, and boiler work, so I guess you could say I "lift things up and I put them down" regularly between the steel plates...
99 man, that video is what did it for me!
When I heard that engine wrung out a few times.... I was sold:drool:.
I don't agree with all he says but he sure knows how to take a test ride!
Sooooo......
I got the '13 Street Triple R delivered today!
Great bike. More specifically great bike to move on to from the 6R if your looking for a bit more grunt -- and euro styling. Extremely flickable, it's so narrow it feels like your legs are side by side touching!
But I will...
I did not get to test one but have heard only good things about the ergos, and the time I have spent on it in the showroom leads me to believe it is pretty comfy.
I compared the 6R and ST-R on Motorcycle Ergonomics and it seems like a nice amount of comfort level for the performance. The...
So....
I might get some flak (or love) for this but...
I pulled the trigger on a '13 Triumph Street Triple R this weekend!:D
Bike is being delivered to dealer now because they didn't have "crystal white". Got a belly pan, flyscreen, engine guards, and frame sliders from the get-go...
Sorry to hear about your low speed drop bud, I had a family member do the same the 2nd week I had my bike. Hehe, not much damage besides fairing scratches but oh was my ego bruised.
Props on getting the bike up first try though -- alot of people will upright their ride, just to have...
Thanks for the thoughts guys...
At least I can tell it's not only me.
I guess I'll straight up trust those instincts from now on.
In retrospect I'm happy I cut the ride short. ;)
Sorry to hear about your accident bud, I trust all is well now from that?
Yeah man -- bizarro. I've had those moments where your like "OK, I'm tired... I really should get off this thing". But today was like "what are you doing, you need to get off NOW". :wtfgun:
I never go out for such...
Got on the bike this afternoon, and took a brief 40 min ride.
Nothing felt right @ all.
I just couldn't snap out of this half asleep state. Bike seemed small underneath me? Lacked top end grunt? Wasn't able to focus my vision off to the distance?
Probably I'm just buggin out and it's all...
I've heard that it's done for racing.
Something about it being easier to just press down as opposed to scooping the shifter upwards while the bike is leaned over.
