In thinking that most likely my bike isn't kicking over to neutral fully anymore, but as of this morning it will "knock" in neutral, a feeling (sometimes noise) that goes away if I hold the clutch in.
It's almost like an engine knock, not as loud or hard though...

Raise kick stand, hold clutch, and start. You may not be in neutral like you think. When I was new I used to be soft on the selector and get halfway between N and 2nd, so I'd move but could hear that...
I think it has as much to do with hip width as it does with inseam.
I'm 5'7" and almost flat foot in the high setting, it's honestly more comfortable than how much of my lower abdomen is contacting the "corner" of the tank in the low position, so I use that.

You really can't do it too much.
Wanna clean your chain every ride? go for it. Wanna reset your valves every 10k? sure thing.
who knows, maybe you do need it earlier than what's recommend depending on how you've been to the bike...
Decided against the mod the other day.
After doing some research, I feel that the heavier stock bar ends on a lightweight clip on will actually create a bigger problem. my clip ons didn't vibrate much even before using bar ends so why go in so hard when I can get some light ones for like $15
