Tryina get one, fairings all fubar so idk what I'm protecting lol

In thinking that most likely my bike isn't kicking over to neutral fully anymore, but as of this morning it will "knock" in neutral, a feeling (sometimes noise) that goes away if I hold the clutch in. It's almost like an engine knock, not as loud or hard though...

I got lucky and it came Thursday, just in time to fix it before drill #superhappy

Try something simple... When you tried to restart, did you remember to raise the kick stand? Raise kick stand, hold clutch, and start. You may not be in neutral like you think. When I was new I used to be soft on the selector and get halfway between N and 2nd, so I'd move but could hear that...

I think it has as much to do with hip width as it does with inseam. I'm 5'7" and almost flat foot in the high setting, it's honestly more comfortable than how much of my lower abdomen is contacting the "corner" of the tank in the low position, so I use that.

valve adjustments are like any other regular maintenance item: You really can't do it too much. Wanna clean your chain every ride? go for it. Wanna reset your valves every 10k? sure thing. who knows, maybe you do need it earlier than what's recommend depending on how you've been to the bike...

That isn't an option tho.

Anyone know of one that can be fitted? I love them cause I'm lazy, and I'm willing to work for the sake of not working later!

how is it for vibration?

Decided against the mod the other day. After doing some research, I feel that the heavier stock bar ends on a lightweight clip on will actually create a bigger problem. my clip ons didn't vibrate much even before using bar ends so why go in so hard when I can get some light ones for like $15

im in the process of trying to melt the weld on my old bar ends' thread section so I can pop them out of the handlebars and into my clip ons...
