Reminds me of a Thermodynamics Professor I had. All of his tests were ridiculously difficult, way above the level we were at. So when Finals week rolled around I asked what my grade was so I had an idea of what kind of grade I was going into the final with. He said I had a 77%, and it was the...
I'm with the "No drinking and riding" club too. Drinking any amount of alcohol when the bike is my ride is definitely not worth it for me. A meet, chow, cruise sounds fun!
Just got back from Cycle Gear with the Mrs. She got me this:
It's the Shoei RF-11 Strife 2 TC-5. Amazing helmet: very comfortable, safety and quality at the top of the food chain, looks awesome, and matches the bike! I couldn't have asked for anything better! My wife is The Shizzle!
Yep, flat, straight roads too. Believe it or not, it actually does get somewhat cold in Northern Florida; down into the 20's sometimes. Not an everyday thing in the winter, but there are certainly those days!
I know, I know, all you guys up North are going to laugh at that and say it's...
See my post above. I'll take the Seattle drizzle any day of the week over the hot mess for weather they have here in the summer. I suggest you man up and wear some warmer clothes! ;):D:justkidding:
By the way, once the rain stops it isn't any better because the humidity goes through the...
Because rain in Florida isn't "rain". It's a torrential, monsoonal downpour that dumps 2" of rain in about 5 minutes. It also usually has lightning associated with it, and visibility is about 10'. Not fun at all.
Sweet! Good luck on your search for "The Bike"! :)
Once you get one, you may want to look into the ERC. It'd be a good refresher and maybe knock some rust off. I plan on taking it every few years or so. (Besides, I have to for military requirements). ;)
Whoa! Hold on a second everybody. Just because the 6R was good for YOU, or a 250 was not enough for YOU doesn't mean it is the same way for HIM!
It sounds to me like he has taken the time to reflect and honestly assess himself and he feels like he may not be ready for a 6R yet. NOBODY HERE...
Very wise decision-making bro! You know yourself better than anyone else and being comfortable with your bike is critical! Enjoy the MSF course, it'll be educational and fun, then go get the bike you want. Best of luck!
That's because pretty much every state requires some type of renewal training. Usually if it's more than 3 years old. Even if you had your endorsement on your licence from one state and tried to get the endorsement on a licence for another state, if it's more than X years, you gotta do it again.
