Thanks for the suggestion. They come out of the bottom of the tank, so I have to go through the frame somewhere before running down the right side. I’ll see what I can do about avoiding a kink.
Just over 13k on my 09, but I abused the crap out of it for the first 7 years of its life, being outside and such. Finally got a house with a garage, and have done a lot of maintenance on it lately. Never given me a problem.
I rolled the tank back to change the air filter and plugs, but I guess I went too far because the vent tubes were pulled up and out of the frame. Does anyone have pics or something from the manual or somewhere about the proper way to route them down? A somewhat detailed verbal description...
Glad you're alright dude. Don't forget, its just an object. Insurance will probably total it, its difficult for them to guarantee repairs on bikes when any little thing could be slightly bent or floating around and "cause" you to crash. Liability for them.
So I bought a Harbor freight lift for $80.
Similar to this, but the cheaper steel one:
1500 lb. Lightweight Aluminum Motorcycle Lift
I originally went in to purchase a rear swingarm stand. Looking at the bike now that I'm home, this lift will not work with our bikes due to the muffler...
