GPR Exhaust, Bike Cover, Saddlebags, FSM

Well my FZ6R story is coming to a close. Bike is sold and I'm selling off the remaining parts. Items: 1) GPR Deeptone full exhaust - SOLD Imported from Italy. Very rare in the US. Condition is used and in decent shape. No dents. There are a couple scratches on the underside of the muffler and...

    Turn Signal wire gauge?

+1 And there is absolutely no need to use 14-16awg wire for turn signals. You should use 18-22awg. It's low current and a short wire length.

    Need some cams

Yep cams are installed. I bought a Leo Vince exhaust, which is a bit quieter than my GPR deeptone and fits with my center stand. There is a nice intake growl between the airbox mods and the cams. I'm still working on the fuel map. I started with Marthy's FZ6 map, but my fuel economy was just...

    Need some cams

I found my FZ6 cams on the FZ6 forum (600riders.org), by posting in the parts wanted section. Their cam swap is r6 cams, so you can get a decent deal on them, or at least beat the ebay prices. I bought the fz6 cams, fz6r cam gears, and machining for around $150.

    TBR or M4 exhaust?

What made you choose TBR or M4 out of the 8-10 available options?

Exhaust using an R-77 Yoshimura can

The narrowband O2 sensor corrections can only occur at stoichiometric engine conditions. For all intents and purposes there is no difference between a US or Rest of World spec FZ6R as far as the ECU compensating for increased airflow. Once you are at part throttle and the ECU starts to enrich...

    FZ6 Cam Install Project

I measure valve timing at work occasionally, so the only major difference was the lack of rocker arms and expensive dial indicator holders. After shoveling 6" of snow, I made another trip to Horrible Freight and bought the dial indicator with the flexible arm that attaches to vice grips...

    FZ6 Cam Install Project

I just installed mine today. My usual machinist farmed out my cam gears to another shop and they screwed them up somehow. I even marked the holes to slot with a paint pen and handed them Solidworks drawings. I could have slotted the holes more precisely with a dremel, but at least the tolerances...

    Rider Insurance FTW!!

I have Riders and really enjoyed the 100% increase on my premium, since all of a sudden it is now a sport bike. At least they reclassified the FZ-09 as well. I would have been extremely bitter if my roommate had cheaper insurance on what is essentially a naked super sport with less weight and...

    Fz6r / XJ6 fork conversion, fz6 41mm forks?

One problem I can see is that the FZ6 has 43mm forks, not 41mm. Also the conventional R6 forks will swap into them with minimal modifications. Really the only way you're going to get an inverted fork onto the front of our bikes is by swapping the entire front end. All balls racing sells taper...

    FS: FZ6 Cams & FZ6R Cam Gears

Parts no longer for sale. I decided to keep the bike and will be installing these FZ6 cams shortly.

    Heated Grips -- Your Approach

I tried the Oxford Sport grips and didn't like the texture or the wires that all pointed in the wrong directions and looked like a thoughtless accessory. I decided to reuse the Oxford PWM controller, as it has sufficient adjustability and was already in the inventory. I built a bar mount for the...
