I'm considering upgrading to the the FJ-09 myself. The FZ is nice but I need something a little more comfortable with luggage.

Check ebay? $180 isn't really that bad when you consider the labor that goes into machining parts.

The chain on these bikes must like to stretch. I had my chain fall off in the middle of an intersection, luckily I wasn't going fast. Now I'm paranoid about chain maintenance. :D

The bike *is* top heavy but it's still fairly nimble. You just can't baby it through corners.

Chains are more efficient with delivering power to the wheel. Belts can handle plenty of torque but they also have trade offs. Even EBR has switched to chains on their new models.

I wired in a switch and a flasher module on my bike. Pretty simple mod but I still think every vehicle sold should have them stock.

For the same price you can get a Ninja 1000 which in all honesty is probably a better bike.

Just get some butt connectors or bullet connectors if you want to be able to pull it apart. They even make heat shrink, waterproof ones.

Tape is fine. You just don't want water getting in there.

Turn signals are pretty simple. There's two wires, black for ground and green/brown which connect to your turn signal switch. Green for the right, brown for the left.
