If your bike has ABS , it could be your ABS unit your hearing They do make a sound like a clicking noise which is normal. Just a thought

Just undo the two top bolts at the top of the tank , and line your gap up equally on both sides Then re tighten the bolts , jobs done ;)

There both overflow pipes from the tank Like you said you topped it off high , so nothing to worry about ;)
