If you are not familiar with this company.
They make a new seat foam cushion and cover that you put on your stock seat pan.

Seat Concepts - Products

I am interested in this.

Has someone here tried it and can report on it.

Thanks

Looks pretty promising. Seems to be a reasonable price as well IMHO

looks interesting but i got my seat completely redone including foam modification, adding a patch and color for around 200$ so i think its majorly over priced. He does great work, Here is a shot, its way more comfortable now, you can also search dirt road custom and see the reviews of his work.

This is interesting I've been wanting to make the driver and passenger seat more comfortable. What kind of foam did they use for your custom trim?

I've got a local upholstery place by me I would like something custom with red stitching like yours

I dont know. I know the shape change and the type of foam made a big difference. Im sure an upholstery shop would do something for you but might be better off with someone who does a lot of motorcycle seats. Get a quote from them and compare, send Eddie an email with what you want, he will even send you sample materials if your serious. I rarely ride anyone on the back because i have a cruiser i take when my wife or kid go with me but my wife said the back is 100% better because what was back there before was basically nothing.

Seat Concepts seat

I bought the seat and installed it.
I used the harbor freight 68029 Air Stapler with T-50 hard staples and that made the job very easy.
I have re-stapled it since this picture. I used an electric stapler the first time and they just were not seating good enough.
Have only put about 40 miles on it so far. Seem firmer than the original and it is thicker so I hope it works out.

I installed mine today in case anyone searches and finds this thread. I ordered through solomotoparts.com for about $160, all carbon fiber. It is really nice, high quality. Make sure you follow all the directions. I used 20 gauge stapler from Harbor Freight 1/4 inch staplers shot at 60-80 psi. I used a 3M medium spray adhesive to attach foam to seat pad. The hardest part was figuring out where the seam lines would be. I settled on the front seam being just below the front edge of the foam and everywhere else matching the foam edge. The rear recessed part that mates with the passenger seat will not be as pronounced as the stock seat. But if you save that pull until last, you can create a slight arc without wrinkling the fabric. The arc will not meet the foam arc but it will be good enough to pair with rear seat. As you are stretching the fabric, follow the directions. And as you go, only staple enough to secure. You will probably need to remove some and adjust at times. Don’t put all the final staples in until it is perfectly adjusted. It looks great and much more comfortable with the leveling foam. You don’t slope forward anymore. Hope it holds up!
